WHAT'S THE SCOPE?

WHAT YOU DO AS AN EVENT OPERATIONS MANAGER

As an Event Operations Manager at Davis Conference Center, you consistently ensure the impeccable execution of all event logistics. You're regularly involved in the hands-on event set-up of banquet functions, expertly arranging chairs, tables, staging, dance floors, and more to perfectly suit each occasion. A significant part of your day is dedicated to the comprehensive management of event set-up equipment, encompassing setup, strike, inventory control, organization, and efficient troubleshooting. You provide direct supervision to your dedicated set-up crew, crafting their weekly schedules and proactively planning for future events. Maintaining all event set-up equipment is a continuous priority, ensuring its readiness for every function. Collaboration is key, as you frequently attend banquet event meetings with other department heads to meticulously coordinate event details. You directly engage with clients and decision-makers, providing an exceptional level of guest service that is paramount to our success. Seamless communication with all departments is essential for operational fluidity, and you skillfully manage budget and expenses to optimize resources.
