We're looking for an Evening Supervisor of Sterile Processing to help us achieve our mission of providing excellent pediatric care in an inclusive and supportive environment. Overview: As the Evening Supervisor of Sterile Processing, you will oversee the Sterile Processing operations, ensuring that all processes are executed effectively and efficiently. Your responsibilities will include the decontamination, cleaning, assembly, and sterilization of medical/surgical instruments and equipment. This role is crucial for maintaining safety and compliance with regulatory standards while fostering a culture of continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities: Supervise daily operations, ensuring adherence to policies, procedures, and AAMI guidelines. Coordinate the preparation of sterile supplies, instruments, and equipment. Manage staff schedules, performance evaluations, and training to facilitate professional growth. Monitor sterile processing data and implement performance improvement initiatives. Ensure quality assurance and compliance with safety practices. Act as the administrator of the SPM instrument tracking system, generating reports and maintaining records. Qualifications: High School Diploma or G.E.D is required; an Associate's Degree in a related field is preferred. A minimum of 3 years of experience in healthcare Sterile Processing or as a Surgical Technologist is required. At least 1 year of supervisory experience is preferred. Certification as a Surgical Technologist and/or Sterile Processing Technician is required; Surgical Technologist certification holders must obtain Sterile Processing Technician certification within one year. This is a full-time evening position (230 PM - 1100 PM, Monday through Friday) with rotating call and occasional weekends. Regular attendance at work is required.
