Responsible for custodial duties to keep facilities clean and safe

Reports to: Director of Administration

Hours: Part-time, M-F 3pm - 8pm, August through June

All staff members must agree to support all sections of the ECS Declaration of Faith , and must whole-heartedly affirm sections 1-5, 8-13, 21-23.

Applicants will be asked to affirm both the ECS Declaration of Faith and the ECS Standards of Conduct for employees

Responsibilities:

Maintains safe working conditions and practices

Must know or learn the proper use of all chemicals used

Work with office administrative assistants to maintain updated MDS sheets that pertain to chemicals in use

Maintain all cleaning equipment

Follow all cleaning schedules as posted

Check and fill all paper products

Clean glass in doors in assigned areas

Sweep, vacuum, dust mop or wet mop floors in assigned areas

Collect trash from assigned areas, take to dumpster, and replace trash bags

Dust all assigned areas weekly

Clean and sanitize restrooms

Use floor scrubbers to clean hallways and gyms as assigned

Complete all assigned areas for cleaning by end of shift

Respond promptly to emergency issues related to cleaning and safety

Other duties as needed and assigned by the Director of Administration

Requirements Demonstrate evidence of personal faith in Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord

Pastoral reference from local church to verify regular attendance and active involvement

Adhere to the mission statement, core values, Code of Conduct, and Statement of Faith of Emmanuel Christian School

Experience of not less than one year in institutional cleaning as well as basic maintenance and upkeep of facilities

Physically able to operate cleaning equipment, set up and tear down folding tables, lunch tables and chairs, move furniture

Able to work both independently and in a team environment

Strong people skills with both adults and children

Able to communicate in person and in writing in a professional and godly manner

Manage time effectively to complete all daily tasks in areas of responsibility
