Location: Chandler, AZ

About the Company: Join a small, dynamic construction company with a total of nine employees in the office. This is an environment where you'll receive on-the-job training and have the full support of your colleagues. Due to the nature of the business, be prepared for contractors and project managers to be in and out of the office throughout the day. This role is viewed as a foundational position with a clear path for growth into a full-time Estimating Agent role, where you will take on increased responsibilities.

Compensation & Schedule:

  • Pay: $18 per hour, commensurate with experience and job tenure.
  • Hours: Full-time, 8:00 AM 5:00 PM, Monday Thurs; and Friday 8AM- Noon.

Job Summary: The Estimating Assistant will provide essential support to the Estimating Agent. The ideal candidate is a proactive, confident communicator who is comfortable with outbound phone calls and digital research. This role is critical for building the company's network of bidders and ensuring the Estimating Agent can efficiently produce project bids.

Key Responsibilities (Job Duties):

  • Initiate and manage outbound phone calls to prospective partners.
  • Proactively utilize online resources and the internet to research and identify new potential bidders.
  • Effectively express company accomplishments and establish credibility with external contacts to facilitate the bidding process.
  • Assist in the creation and production of project bids.
  • Manage scheduling and coordinate appointments for Project Managers as needed.
  • Perform various administrative tasks and customer service duties.

Required Qualifications (Job Requirements):

  • Communication Skills: Must possess an outgoing and positive personality with exceptional communication skills, as the role involves speaking with companies nationwide.
  • Resilience: Comfortable making frequent phone calls and handling rejection without discouragement; understands that persistence is key to securing new business.
  • Technical Proficiency: Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Team Fit: Eagerness to learn and a positive, team-oriented attitude to thrive in a small office setting.

Job Duties:

  • Additional customer service and administrative duties

Job Requirements:

  • Have a great personality!! You will be speaking with companies all over the country, so they need someone who is not afraid to speak with people
  • Don't be afraid to get on the phone! Due to the nature of the job, there will be some people saying "no". Don't get discouraged! Every "no" leads to the next "yes"
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel

Compensation / Pay Rate (Up to): $17.00 - $18.00
