We are seeking a local Austin area lawyer, ideally with at least 1-2 years of general legal experience, to join our Estate Administration team. You will start by learning our protocols for handling the different types of administrations, shadowing our attorneys, and assisting on cases before eventually taking on initial consultations of your own.
This is a great job for a lawyer who is interested in making a difference in people’s lives. In this role, you'll be working with real people who are grieving and needing assistance in settling their loved one’s estate. Compensation: $90,000 - $100,000 Responsibilities: Attend court hearings with and on behalf of clients Draft correspondence, legal pleadings, and other related documents Conduct in-depth consultations with clients and prospects Cultivate and maintain relationships with referral sources through strategic meetings to effectively market the firm Work closely with other attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to facilitate a seamless client experience and maintain efficient workflow within the firm Stay abreast of relevant laws, regulations, and best practices in probate and trust administration Communicate with appraisers and oversee the completion of projects involving them Qualifications: Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite is necessary Prior experience working in a law firm for a minimum of 1-2 years required Advanced computer skills working with legal research programs (Westlaw and Lexis) required Decision-making, public speaking, problem-solving, interpersonal skills, and communication skills are a must Jobseekers should be a member of their local bar association - active member preferred Association Licensed and in good standing with the Texas State Bar Experience with legal drafting and great attention to detail Excellent work ethic and the drive "to get the job done" Empathetic, compassionate, and ethical Able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines within a team framework About Company Texas Trust Law, formerly known as The Wiewel Law Firm, is a people-focused practice with a great team of experienced attorneys and non-attorneys who are easy to work with and committed to helping clients.
