Ecosouth Florida is seeking a dedicated Equipment Operator for our Bradenton, FL location. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating a loader similar to a Komatsu WA 200-8.

Key duties include efficiently loading materials onto tipper trailers or walking floors. Candidates should also have experience with backing up and maneuvering large trailers. If you are looking for a company that cares, please apply!

$20 - $22 hourly

• Follow all safety procedures while operating heavy equipment
• Ensure equipment stays in clean working order and report any issues to the supervisor
• Load Material in tipper trailers
• Ensure the work area is safe and compliant at all times
• Work as a team with other departments
• Move loaded and unloaded trailers
• Perform other duties as assigned
• Must work with Maintenance and other teams for an efficient work environment

This position is out in the elements; the candidate must be willing to work outside.

• Strong work ethic and physical ability to lift 30+ pounds
• Must have reliable transportation to get to work
• Knowledge of the proper operation of heavy equipment, as well as safety standards
• Must pass drug screen and background check
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Legally eligible to work in the United States.

Physical Requirements:

• Vision: adequate to enter and read material on computer screens. Able to identify individuals to initiate greetings, the giving of directions, and other business interactions
• Hearing: Able to hear safety alerts and warning signals
• Speaking: Able to engage in conversations in person and via electronic means and deliver information to groups of varying size with or without amplification
• Equipment Operation: Able to operate a wide range of tools
• Carrying: able to occasionally carry up to 20lbs/9kg.
• Lifting: able to lift up to 30lbs/14kg.
• Squatting/Kneeling: able to squat or kneel
• Standing: able to stand for extended periods of time, delivering information
• Walking: Able to walk through the shop and other outside elements
