Your Role on the Team
Position Summary:
Uses advanced professional training and development expertise to design, develop and maintain training content and programs for assigned clinical and/ or business applications module(s). Incumbent serves as the principal eLearning specialist for clinical systems education. Incumbent is responsible for designing, developing, and implementing online learning courses, managing and maintaining supplementary learning materials, and enhancing the effectiveness of epic/clinical systems. Incumbent functions as the primary expert to training media options for online learning solutions including text, instructional, functional, and cosmetic graphics, audio, animation, and video. Assists in the development and delivery of training electronically, in classroom, small groups, and one-on-one with providers and staff.
What It Takes to be Successful
Required Qualifications:
Working knowledge of network systems
Thorough knowledge of instructional design principles and eLearning strategies, including needs analysis, backwards design, learning outcomes and assessment design, and instructional approached including lecture, discussion, activities, projects, etc
Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite
Previous Epic experience, either end user or support role
Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job
Minimum of 5 years of relevant and related work experience
Independent problem-solving skills and the ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment
Experience in Adobe Captivate Suite and Learning Management Systems
Excellent presentation and communication skills, both in one-to-one and group settings
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
Demonstrated experience organizing, developing and delivering application training for all levels of staff including physicians
Certification in Epic
Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare, Computer Science or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
Advanced verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
Advanced training skills with ability to reach learners at all levels
Advanced presentations skills including ability to facilitate classroom, on-line and one-on-one training.
Advanced knowledge of health care information systems.
Advanced ability to comprehend and translate technical and / or functional manuals and instructions.
Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, nights, weekends and holidays
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System
Ability to apply logical troubleshooting and analysis techniques for the purpose of problem resolution
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures and forms
