Overview
Duties and Responsibilities
Facilitates business and IT alignment, connecting strategy to execution, through a collaborative, supportive and consultative manner, driving the organization’s digital business strategies and balancing innovation and growth.
Translates execution of business strategy to achieve the organization’s targeted business outcomes by leading the development of an implementation roadmap for the enterprise architecture.
Leads the analysis of business and operating models, market trends, and the technology industry to determine their potential impact on the enterprise’s technology strategy, direction, and architecture.
Drives enterprise architecture practices, programs, and guiding principles to help IT effectively and efficiently support business strategy.
Maintains and evangelizes technology standards and guidelines and identify application and technology rationalization opportunities.
Promotes modern technical and design best practices and trends, and act as a visionary to continue to progress architectural direction for future projects.
Adapts to changing business and operating models.
Define technology strategy and roadmap to support emerging requirements from digital portfolio.
Drives technology, architecture standards, reference architecture and design patterns for enterprise digital applications.
Conduct architecture reviews ensuring technical, functional and non-functional requirements are covered in solution design and implementation and adheres to SGWS architecture and technology standards.
Architect and document technical blueprints for enterprise web and mobile applications, detailing system architecture, data models, integration interfaces, and technical configurations
Guide and mentor solution architects and technology teams.
Minimum Qualifications / Requirements
Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in related field (e.g., Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, System Analysis, etc.) or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
Typically, 10+ years of experience in IT and business/industry including strategic and operations planning,
Typically, 10+ years of experience in at least three disciplines, such as business, information, solution, or technical architecture, application development, middleware, information analysis, database management, or operations.
2-5 years conducting focused architecture work; strategic visioning, developing artifacts, road-mapping, continuous improvement, solutioning, influencing and facilitating architecture decisions, coaching teams and people.
Architecting enterprise scale web and mobile applications, APIs and microservices.
Experience in working in multiple, diverse technologies and processing environments.
Native-level proficiency/fluent in English.
Experience in DevOps and Agile technology environments.
Preferred Skills
Advanced knowledge of system dev. life cycle (SDLC) methodologies (e.g., waterfall, spiral, SAFe, agile, rapid prototyping, incremental, synchronize and stabilize and DevOps).
Strong knowledge of business ecosystems, SaaS, infrastructure as a service (IaaS), platform as a service (PaaS), SOA, APIs, open data, microservices, event-driven IT and predictive analytics.
Experience in architecting highly trafficked customers facing web and mobile applications, cloud native, performant and highly Available with minimum RPO & RTO.
Experience with e-commerce suites, Enterprise IAM, Content management, personalization and recommendation engines, event driven architecture.
Familiarity with AI/ML, Gen AI, Agentic AI and its applicability in delivering exceptional user experiences.
Familiar with enterprise platforms like Salesforce, Adobe, SAP, etc.
Proficient knowledge of business models, operating models, financial models, cost-benefit analysis, budgeting, and risk management.
Solid knowledge of basic graphical modeling approaches, tools, and model repositories.
Proven skills in maintaining good relationships with IT and the business who have the most impact and influence on the architecture, managing stakeholder expectations and impacts of the architecture work.
Proficient skills in providing the necessary leadership for tasks related to the development of an enterprise’s solution architecture, such as governance, creating a portfolio roadmap, and monitoring the current state with the ability to support different development approaches.
Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment and lead cross-functional teams, with the proven ability to communicate with business acumen and work with diverse stakeholders, including those in an outsourced environment.
Proven ability to analyze and translate future-state business capabilities and requirements into information architecture requirements.
Proven ability to support development of teammates by sharing knowledge and experience.
