Engineering Technician

As an Engineering Technician, you will assist in building out a test facility and have hands-on experience with automated equipment. You will assist engineers in equipment installation and troubleshooting in the creation of test fixtures and components for the manufacturing and assembly of products, perform analysis on the interaction between machine components and related fits and tolerances, and produce and/or assemble prototypes and samples.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in building out the test facility.
  • Create detailed drawing packages for product manufacturing and assembly.
  • Perform analysis on the interaction between machine components, fits, and tolerances.
  • Test and troubleshoot automated equipment.

Essential Skills

  • 3+ years of troubleshooting and installing automated equipment.
  • Experience in sheet metal fabrication, including bend radius.
  • Proficiency in mechanical and industrial machinery, machining, tubing, and weldment.
  • Knowledge of tolerances and prototype assembly.
  • Proficiency in reading and understanding mechanical designs

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience with machining, metal fabrication (sheet metal, tubing, weldments), and plastics.

Work Environment

The work environment consists of supporting two engineers on-site in building out the R&D site. You will work with AC duct equipment and components, machined components, and sheet metal for brackets and automated equipment.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
