We are currently seeking an Electrical Project Engineer with medium voltage experience to join our Electrical department in our Madison, WI office. In this role you will: Lead or support the design of electrical systems including medium voltage distribution, transformers, switchgear, protective relays, and coordination studies Perform design calculations, feasibility studies, and technical analyses for medium and low voltage power systems Create complete and coordinated construction documents based on client and project team requirements Review vendor and contractor submittals and develop responsive engineering solutions Coordinate your design with multiple engineering disciplines Respond to RFIs, review shop drawings, and perform field observations Conduct site surveys and develop punch lists under the guidance of a Sr. Engineer or Project Manager Mentor and assist Designers and BIM Technicians and delegate design tasks Stay current with applicable codes, standards, and trends in electrical and medium voltage systems Participate in client meetings and collaborate with project stakeholders as your experience grows.
In this role, you will need: A Bachelors degree in electrical engineering or a related field 5+ years of electrical design experience in an engineering consulting or A/E environment Demonstrated experience with medium voltage systems design and coordination Professional licensure or ability to obtain licensure is preferred Familiarity with healthcare or institutional projects is a plus Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to manage time effectively across multiple tasks and projects Proficiency with Revit and the Microsoft Office Suite Familiarity with electrical analysis tools such as EasyPower.
