EHS Intern Essential Functions/Duties: Assist in conducting safety inspections and audits across various departments to ensrure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. Participate in risk assessments and hazard identification processes and propose corrective actions. Help in the development and delivery of safety training programs for employees. Support incident investigations, including root cause analysis, and contribute to the preparation of incident reports. Work closely with the EHS Regional Manager + Coordinator in compiling and analyzing data related to workplace incidents and safety metrics. Review and update EHS policies and procedures under the guidance of the EHS Regional Manager. Contribute to sustainability projects aimed at reducing the company’s environmental footprint. Assist in maintaining records related to EHS performance, training, inspections, and compliance. Use PPE as required. Perform all duties in a safe & environmental manner. The schedule may vary as needed. Work is generally performed in a manufacturing and office environment
Qualifications & Interests Currently enrolled in or a recent graduate of an Environmental Health & Safety, Occupational Health, or related program Strong interest in Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) regulations and policies Basic understanding of EHS laws and regulations is a plus
Skills & Competencies Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment Strong organizational skills and keen attention to detail
Professional Training / Technical Skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
