Welding Operations: Perform dual shield welding (FCAW-G) on various materials, including carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum, to fabricate and assemble metal components. Blueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and welding specifications to determine appropriate welding processes and material requirements. Material Preparation: Prepare materials for welding by cutting, shaping, and cleaning metal components to ensure proper fit and alignment. Quality Assurance: Inspect completed welds to ensure they meet quality standards and specifications, making necessary adjustments as needed. Equipment Maintenance: Maintain welding equipment in good working condition, performing routine maintenance and troubleshooting as required. Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe handling of materials. Collaboration: Work closely with team members, including fabricators and engineers, to complete projects efficiently and accurately. Qualifications & Requirements: Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in dual shield welding, particularly with carbon steel, stainless steel, and aluminum materials. Technical Skills: Proficiency in dual shield welding techniques (FCAW-G); ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints. Certifications: Welding certifications are a plus but not required. Physical Ability: Ability to lift heavy materials, stand for extended periods, and perform tasks requiring manual dexterity. Attention to Detail: Strong focus on precision and quality in all welding tasks. Work Ethic: Self-motivated with the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment, including overtime as needed.
