Job Summary
At Monona Plumbing & Fire Protection, our mission is to consistently deliver exceptional experiences to our customers and build lasting relationships along the way. As a Dispatcher, you play a vital role in making that happen by ensuring our service operations run smoothly and efficiently.
In this front-line role, youll be the main point of contact for incoming service requestscoordinating schedules, dispatching technicians, and working closely with project managers to meet labor demands. Youll also take a proactive approach in maintaining strong customer relationships by reaching out to schedule preventative maintenance and follow-up visits. Your ability to stay organized, communicate clearly, and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment will directly support the success of our Service team.
Responsibilities
Answer incoming service calls and schedule work orders for repair, installation, and maintenance
Dispatch technicians based on availability, location, and required skillset
Coordinate labor needs with project managers to support service and construction jobs
Proactively contact customers to schedule preventative maintenance and follow-up services
Accurately enter and update work order details, customer notes, and quotes in Sage
Track ordered parts and schedule return visits based on delivery status
Follow up with technicians and enter after-hours call details into the system
Process third-party service requests and monitor the service email inbox
Collaborate with the team to ensure smooth scheduling and communication
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
Experience in service coordination, dispatching, or a similar customer-focused roleconstruction and/or service industry experience preferred
Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with a calm and professional demeanor under pressure
Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and manage competing priorities effectively
Tech-savvy and quick to learn new systems, with solid computer proficiency
Self-starter who is proactive, team-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced environment
Other Requirements
Ability to sit at a computer and manage phone-based tasks for extended periods
Availability to work 100% onsite from 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday

Pay Range
Full-time $22-$28/hr, dependent on experience - eligible for overtime
