JOB SUMMARY
The Research Assessment and Evaluation Director coordinates and implements qualitative and mixed methods research focused on student success, the student experience, evaluates the effectiveness of institutional strategies and initiatives, and coordinates all activities of various internal and external student assessment surveys.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Assist in the development or selection, administration, and analysis of appropriate measurement tools (i.e. employer surveys, course evaluations, etc. ).
Make survey results available as appropriate.
Design methodology and instruments for the collection of quantitative and qualitative data.
Design, implement, analyze, and communicate results of assessment and evaluation studies.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with institutional partners, leaders, and external stakeholders.
Lead qualitative and quantitative research efforts as needed for academic and administrative departments, producing actionable written reports of research.
Assist in the clarification of research questions and hypotheses that arise during institutional strategic and annual planning; perform ad hoc statistical analysis and interpretation to facilitate strategic decision-makingAssist with facilitating the College's institutional effectiveness processes, including curriculum program reviews, strategic planning, planning retreats, and planning unit assessment cyclesCollaborate with senior leadership and consult with Deans and instructional leaders to develop and monitor strategies for measuring learning outcomes and evaluating programs and services.
Provide consultation to academic and administrative units on outcomes and assessment, research methodology, data management, and data analysis and interpretation for their programs of self-study, planning, and assessment activities.
Perform other duties, tasks and assignments as required.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree in Education, Social Sciences or related field required
Master's degree preferred
5 years combined experience in statistical research, business intelligence, data science or data analytics leadership or management roles required
Licensing & Certification Valid Texas Driver License

General Office.
