The anticipated pay range for candidates who will work in California is $120K to $140K annually. The offered pay to a successful candidate will be dependent on several factors that may include but are not limited to years of experience within the job, years of experience within the required industry, education, etc.
We are looking for full-time Director of Revenue Management
Position Summary: Renew Health Consulting Services, is seeking an experienced Director of Revenue Management to lead and manage the billing and collections operations. This leadership role is responsible for optimizing revenue cycle processes, ensuring compliance with California Medi-Cal, Medicare, Managed Care, and Private Pay billing requirements. The ideal candidate will bring strong SNF-specific billing expertise, familiarity with California's long-term care regulations, and a proactive approach to A/R management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the Regional Financial Consultants, who in turn oversee the Facility Office Managers in the daily business office activities including billing, collections, claims management, and cash posting.
- Ensure timely and accurate billing for all payers: Medicare, Medi-Cal (Fee-for-Service and Managed Care), HMO/PPO plans, and Private Pay.
- Monitor and reduce A/R aging and Days Sales Outstanding (DSO) through effective follow-up and denial management.
- Ensure compliance with California Department of Health Care Services (DHCS), Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), and payer-specific rules.
- Stay current with changes in California Medi-Cal programs, including Long-Term Care eligibility, TARs, and Share of Cost (SOC) processes.
- Ensure proper documentation for audit readiness and state/federal surveys.
- Generate and analyze monthly A/R aging reports, collection metrics, and cash flow trends.
- Present financial and operational reports to facility leadership and corporate stakeholders.
- Provide recommendations to improve reimbursement and reduce outstanding receivables.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Healthcare Administration, or related field (required).
- Minimum of 5 years of A/R management experience in a California skilled nursing facility or long-term care setting.
- In-depth knowledge of California Medi-Cal, Medicare Part A & B, HMO/PPO billing, and private pay procedures.
- Proficient in EHR and billing systems (e.g., PointClickCare, MatrixCare, or similar).
- Strong knowledge of UB-04 billing forms, remittance advices (835s), and denial resolution.
- Experience working with Medi-Cal Managed Care Plans (IEHP, LA Care, etc.).
- Working knowledge of California-specific regulatory and reimbursement policies.
- Occasional travel may be required for training, audits, or multi-facility support.
