About this Role We are seeking a strategic and experienced Director of Business Development to pioneer and execute an offline acquisition strategy in Hispanic communities, starting with a pilot market in Puerto Rico. This high-impact role will report directly to our Founder and CEO and is designed for someone who has successfully built or scaled B2B or B2C business development networks. The ideal candidate brings multi-level marketing experience or similar exposure to building sales channels and referral networks. This position will require frequent travel to target market areas, including Puerto Rico and other regions with high-potential Hispanic communities, to build partnerships and expand OPF’s offline acquisition presence. Requirements Main Responsibilities Design and implement a scalable, field-based customer acquisition strategy tailored to Hispanic communities. Identify and prioritize strategic partnership opportunities and local referral networks. Develop and manage a pipeline of community-based lead sources. Build, lead, and mentor regional representatives or community partners. Collaborate cross-functionally to align offline acquisition with overall marketing, product, and sales goals. Represent OPF at industry and community events. Develop KPIs and performance metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of the offline strategy. Monitor competitive activity and identify market trends. Track and report on all outreach and acquisition initiatives.
Requirements Fully Bilingual (English and Spanish). Proven experience in business development roles, ideally in fintech, financial services, or high-growth environments. Demonstrated success in launching or managing community-based acquisition or multi-level marketing models. Frequent travel to markets including Puerto Rico and other U.S. Hispanic regions is required. Strategic thinker with a track record of executing scalable growth initiatives. Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills. Entrepreneurial mindset and self-starter attitude. Experience collaborating cross-functionally with product, marketing, and sales teams. Knowledge of small business financing is a strong plus.
