Come join our dynamic and expanding legal team!
The Director of Accounting will oversee all aspects of accounting, reporting, and compliance for both construction and corporate activities. Reporting directly to the SVP of Finance and Accounting, this individual will be a key financial leader, ensuring robust internal controls, accurate financial reporting, and alignment with strategic objectives. This is a highly visible, hands-on leadership role that requires a deep understanding of construction job cost accounting, GAAP, and corporate finance in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Qualifications: *Must be okay to work onsite in Aventura!*
* Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA strongly preferred. * Minimum of 15 years of progressive accounting experience, including at least 5 years in a senior leadership role. * Significant experience in construction accounting and corporate accounting is required. * Strong knowledge of GAAP, internal controls, and financial reporting. * Proficient in construction accounting software (e.g., Sage 300, Viewpoint, or similar) and general ERP/accounting systems. * Exceptional analytical skills, with the ability to interpret and explain complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders. * Demonstrated ability to lead and develop high-performing teams. * Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills. * Hands-on, proactive, and detail-oriented approach with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
