Great Parks is looking for a creative storyteller with a passion for the outdoors to serve as the Digital Content Creator and bring our brand to life through engaging video, motion graphics, photography, audio, and design. In this dynamic role, you'll be at the forefront of our digital presence—developing and executing social media content strategies that captivate audiences and drive guest engagement across paid and organic platforms.

As a key member of the Marketing and Brand Strategy team, you'll create high-impact, cross-channel content that celebrates nature, conservation, and outdoor adventure. The successful candidate will do the following:

  • Conceptualize, plan and produce original high-quality digital content (video, motion, graphic, photo, audio) to support Great Parks’ Marketing and Brand Strategy team’s goals for content across owned and paid digital channels including social media, podcast, newsletter, website, third-party websites, b-roll for news media outlets and future digital channels.
  • Aligns plans to be complementary and consistent with Great Park’s marketing efforts, including brand voice, key messages, master plan priorities and imagery as approved by the Creative Director.
  • Develops and implements community guidelines across social media platforms, including but not limited to Meta, LinkedIn, Youtube, Vimeo, Pinterest and Twitter, to ensure a productive and positive atmosphere for our audiences. Maintain brand integrity by enforcing community guidelines internally and externally.
  • Proactively contribute ideas, integrate inspiration into original work that fits brand guidelines, platform needs, storytelling objectives and strategies.
  • Recognize opportunities to evolve and optimize Great Parks’ brand and digital content performance and articulate rationale to stakeholders to align on objectives and drive results.
  • Balance creativity and execution, making informed decisions independently while managing tight timelines and navigating ambiguity.
  • Monitors, researches, and responds to inquiries, comments, and questions from social media platforms in collaboration with the Communications Manager.
  • Oversees comments and messages among Great Parks’ audiences through social listening and advocates for Great parks in social media and other digital spaces, including community message boards and influencer channels. Support efforts in building online reviews and reputation in collaboration with the Website Manager.
  • Maintains master digital content calendar that aligns with Great Parks, brand, marketing and communications strategies. Works with Communications Manager to create and incorporate key messages and copy into digital content.
  • Manages social media data and analytics. Monitors and reports on engagement, comments, and social analytics to make data-based improvements and changes to our content strategy.
  • Collaborates with Web Manager and Creative Director to plan, create, publish, and report on web-based digital content.
  • Cultivate strong, strategic relationships across teams and vendors, including agencies, contractors, and influencers. Maintains communication with key stakeholders. Addresses problems and ensures effective implementation of solutions.
  • Develops and monitors key performance indicators for measuring the impact of digital channel content as well as analyzing, reviewing, and reporting on the effectiveness of strategies. Monitors and reports on engagement, comments, and social analytics to make data-based improvements and changes to our content strategy. Translates data into recommendations and plans for improving digital content marketing campaigns.
  • Organize and maintain catalogue of digital assets, including photo and video.
  • Acts as occasional backup for basic graphic design, copy, photography, and video support, and community event support as needed.
  • Performs job duties in accordance with Great Parks’ policies, procedures, and performance expectations.
  • Maintains confidentiality of confidential and sensitive information.
  • Performs other job duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

An appropriate combination of education, training, course work and experience may qualify an applicant to demonstrate required knowledge, skills, and abilities. An example of an acceptable qualification is:

  • Bachelor's degree in Visual Communications, Photography, Digital Media, Advertising or related field, or equivalent professional experience in content creation and digital media management
  • 5+ years of professional experience and strong portfolio producing video, audio and static content tailored to needs of cross-digital platforms, including TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube.
  • Basic understanding of social and digital media analytics or insights. Advanced proficiency in creative tools (Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro and After Effects).
  • Keen attention to detail and a passion for delivering high-quality, customer-centric work that aligns with communications and marketing goals, showcasing a passion for outdoor recreation and conservation.

LICENSE OF CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS

State Motor Vehicle Operator’s License that meets GPHC current carrier guidelines.
