As a DevOps Software Engineer on our team, you’ll lead efforts to integrate, deploy, and sustain software systems at scale. You'll work across complex environments, partnering with software development teams, system engineers, and mission owners to drive innovation through cloud-based platforms, analytics frameworks, and automation.
Whether you're optimizing large-scale data pipelines, designing advanced algorithms, or leading system deployments in secure Linux environments, your work will shape the future of mission technology.

Here’s What Your Day-to-Day Might Include:

• Designing, developing, debugging, and enhancing complex software systems and frameworks
• Integrating COTS, GOTS, and open-source software in secure environments
• Leading or supporting the full software development lifecycle (SDLC), from design to deployment
• Writing, reviewing, and maintaining system and software documentation
• Developing data parsing and transformation workflows using formats like JSON, XML, CSV, and Parquet
• Supporting real-time and batch Big Data processing environments (e.g., Spark)
• Managing Jupyter Notebook environments and enabling analytics at scale
• Creating and executing CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI and Git
• Automating infrastructure provisioning using tools like Ansible (IaC)
• Using containerization technologies (e.g., Docker) to build and manage isolated development environments
• Implementing system monitoring with tools like Prometheus and Grafana
• Collaborating across multi-functional teams to resolve complex issues and optimize performance
• Leading technical teams, ensuring quality control, and providing architectural direction

Minimum Qualifications:

• Must be a US Citizen
• Must have a Top-Secret clearance with FS Polygraph

Candidates must meet one of the following criteria:

• Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field + 10 years of SWE experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field + 12 years of SWE experience
• 14 years of SWE experience with similar scope and complexity in lieu of a degree

Required Skills:

• Proficiency in Linux CLI and Linux administration
• Advanced scripting in Shell, Bash, and Python
• Strong experience with Java and Python-based application development
• Proven experience with CI/CD tools like GitLab CI
• Expertise in containerization (e.g., Docker) and infrastructure automation (Ansible)
• Experience with Big Data platforms (e.g., Spark) and analytic frameworks
• Hands-on knowledge of Git, including collaboration and branching strategies
• Ability to deploy and manage Jupyter Notebooks in production environments
• Experience with monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana)
• Familiarity with data parsing formats: JSON, XML, CSV, Parquet

Desired Qualifications:

• Experience with the Atlassian Tool Suite (JIRA, Confluence)
• Familiarity with Agile software development processes
• Experience in leadership roles, managing and mentoring software teams
• Strong communication skills and the ability to explain complex architecture clearly
• Commitment to quality, security best practices, and continuous improvement

Compensation Range: $229,000.00 - $252,000.00

The final offer will be tailored after a thorough evaluation of the candidate’s background and suitability for the role.
