Summary Assist with preparing design and construction documents. Requires general knowledge of design development, construction documentation and furniture specifications. Assists in Interior architectural problem solving. This position is located in Seattle, Washington and will support Bassetti Architects, a design studio of HMC Architects.The position requires 3 days in the office and the ability to work from home Mondays and Fridays. Position Responsibilities Assist in preparation of furniture specifications, finish schedules, material finish binders and boards, and professional correspondence Assist in the documentation of project design in Revit such as three-dimensional modeling, furniture, or material research Support design team and ensure that the design intent is followed through all phases Assist in development of project documents during all phases of the project Assist in organization and generation of interior construction documentation Assist in all aspects of the plan check process Assist with coordinating Interior drawings with Architectural drawings and specifications Support the construction administration phase of a project by assisting in review of submittals, shop drawings, response to RFI's, and preparation of instruction bulletins for changes Prepare interior architectural plans to include floor pattern plans, accent paint locations, millwork plans, finish schedules and furniture specifications Assist with preparing complex plans, elevations, and details under guidance of supervisor Support project manager, interiors and senior project manager, interiors in supervision and delegation of work Attend professional activities outside the office Estimate hours for assigned tasks and finish tasks within agreed-upon budget hours Participate in office design charettes Other duties as assigned Position Requirements Interior Design or Architectural degree from an accredited university Zero to two (2) years experience in Revit drafting of interior architectural drawings Listen and communicate effectively and professionally Asks questions about assignments when unclear Ability to set goals, prioritize, and plan work activities for self-management and use time efficiently Ability to apprise supervisor for status of work Ability to delegate assignments to support staff and always be respectful Ability to correspond effectively with Architects for Revit files and minor directives Always be professional and respectful in interactions with clients and consultants Demonstrate motivation in seeking new responsibilities and challenges The hourly range for this position is $23.56 - $32.06 The actual offered salary for this position will vary depending on multiple factors including the candidate’s qualification, education, position knowledge, work experience, skills, ability, work location, and internal incumbent compensation for similar roles. We do not anticipate individuals hired into this position will start at or near the top half of the range listed; the decision will be based on each individual case. The salary range listed above does not include other compensation elements such as discretionary bonus opportunities, employee stock ownership grants, paid time off, medical insurance, and other wage and benefit opportunities.
