VNACJ CHC is hiring - Dental Assistant Float
Community Health Center (CHC) offers comprehensive, community based, preventive, primary care and wellness services for New Jersey residents of all ages at four convenient locations. CHC health care services are designed to meet the specific needs of the entire family – from annual check-ups and immunizations to sick visits, mental health counseling and critical prenatal care.
We are currently looking for a Dental Assistant to float between our facilities in Keyport, Red Bank, Freehold, and Asbury Park. In this role, you will work as a team player to support dental care delivery by preparing treatment room, patient, instruments, and materials; passing instruments and materials; performing procedures in compliance with the dental practice act.
Responsibilities
Supports organization’s mission by striving for excellence in all aspects of their job with a focus on positive interpersonal relationship with co-workers
Assists the Dentists and Dental Practice Manager in developing, implementing and evaluating the operation strategies of the Dental Center
Provides assistance with patient care and dental health screenings in accordance with agency guidelines and regulatory requirements
Provides oral health instructions, Post operative instruction and education to patients as appropriate
Prepares documentation and provides administrative support to the Dental Center
Sterilization of instruments following FQHC/State DOH guidelines and maintain logs and records according to agency’s policy
Adheres to agency infection control and safety policies
Adheres to the organization’s policy in regards to absenteeism and appearance

Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED
Registered Dental Assistant a plus, Certified Dental Assistant required
Valid NJ Radiology license
Ambulatory Sterilization Certification a plus (will be required by 1st work anniversary)
Strong computer skills
Excellent customer service and organizational skills
Valid NJ Driver’s license and Auto Insurance required
Bilingual, English and Spanish speaking preferred.
Working Conditions/Physical Demand : Business Office Environment within a fast paced healthcare center with heavy customer service, phones and computer use; client/customer contact; sitting, fine motor hand movement, standing, walking, lifting 40 pounds, pushing, reaching, pulling
Specific Equipment Used: x-ray machines, drills, dental instruments, decontamination and sterilization equipment.
In compliance with New Jersey's Pay Transparency Act, the total compensation range for this position is USD $30,205.50 to USD $60,662.50. When determining an offer, VNA Health Group considers factors such as the scope and responsibilities of the role, the candidate's work experience, education/training, relevant skills, internal pay equity, and market and organizational conditions. The total compensation range reflects the total package, including base salary, overtime, bonuses, add-on incentives, special clinical compensation, retirement plans, and all other benefits.
