The Document Master Central (DMC) is Citi's AI-powered centralized document management platform, designed to revolutionize how documents are handled across the organization. We're seeking a highly capable and hands-on Product Manager to join Citi's Document Master Central (DMC) team, our enterprise platform for managing client-related documentation across the bank. As part of our modernization initiative, we're looking for a professional who is not only experienced in traditional product management and Agile delivery but are also fluent in using large language models (LLMs) to supercharge product work, while operating within the boundaries of Citi's enterprise standards and regulatory frameworks.
The Technology Product Manager (Technology Product Management Lead Analyst - C13) is a strategic professional who stays abreast of developments within own field and contributes to directional strategy by considering their application in own job and the business. Recognized technical authority for an area within the business. Requires basic commercial awareness. There are typically multiple people within the business that provide the same level of subject matter expertise. Developed communication and diplomacy skills are required in order to guide, influence and convince others, in particular colleagues in other areas and occasional external customers. Significant impact on the area through complex deliverables. Provides advice and counsel related to the technology or operations of the business. Work impacts an entire area, which eventually affects the overall performance and effectiveness of the sub-function/job family.
Responsibilities:
Own the product lifecycle end-to-end - from discovery to delivery to post-release feedback
Conduct market, user, and stakeholder research to inform product strategy
Gather requirements to define epics and user stories, and maintain a well-groomed backlog in JIRA
Serve as the Product Owner for Agile squads, collaborating with development teams, testers, UX designers, and business SMEs
Use LLMs and AI tools to enhance research, documentation, acceptance criteria, testing, release notes, and internal communication
Partner with internal teams (Risk, Compliance, Architecture) to align on data governance, model usage, and security protocols
Translate complex technical capabilities into clear business value and client impact
Analyze product metrics, user behavior, and feature success; iterate for optimal product performance
Help drive DMC's transformation into a scalable, AI-friendly enterprise platformLeads the working backwards documents for a platform product release
Uses or commissions research, studies and focus groups to identify best-of-breed benchmarks for solving business problems
Identifies innovations and leads "test and learn" experiments to create platform products that increase customer value
Defines and measures the KPIs for a platform product
Is able to make trade-off decisions on multiple platform products in a portfolio
Develops business and platform requirements for either one platform component of a large platform product or a narrow product
Leverages tools such as Ignite for reusability of APIs and platform services
Determines release goals for a narrow platform product or a component of a large product
Identifies best practices for continuous product development improvement
Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
Required Qualifications:
6+ years of relevant experience in Product Manager or Product Owner in a tech-focused organization
Proven experience as a Product Owner - refining backlogs, running sprints, writing epics and user stories, using JIRA/Confluence
Demonstrated ability to write clear user stories, define MVPs, and manage backlogs
Strong collaboration and stakeholder management skills - especially across business, tech, and compliance teams
Experience working closely with software development teams; hands-on coding or dev background preferred
Deep familiarity with Large Language Models (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Gemini) and how they can be applied to day-to-day product workflows
Ability to operate effectively in a highly regulated, security-sensitive environmentSignificant experience building complex business and/or transactional models.
Demonstrated experience as a strong leader who can prioritize well, communicate clearly and compellingly, effectively influencing across cross functional teams
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior experience in financial services or enterprise software
Familiarity with data governance, document lifecycle management, or enterprise content management platforms
Experience integrating Artificial Intelligence (AI) or Machine Learning (ML) models into product workflows
Working knowledge of prompt engineering, embeddings, or agent frameworks is a plus
Education:
Bachelor's/University degree or equivalent experience
