Job Overview: We are looking for a talented Data Scientist Level II to join our team at Amazon.com Services LLC. You will play a vital role in designing and implementing scalable and reliable solutions to boost decision-making across our business operations. Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement innovative data science techniques to tackle challenging business problems. Acquire and manipulate data using SQL and ETL queries to ensure robust analysis. Create processes that facilitate access to data from Oracle, RedShift, and Spark storage systems. Establish and nurture relationships with stakeholders to align data solutions with business needs. Analyze datasets for trends, ensuring data integrity through comprehensive statistical checks. Build and refine models using various methodologies, including but not limited to statistical, machine learning, and econometric modeling. Validate models and their outcomes against established key performance indicators and alternative methodologies. Ensure model implementations are efficient and reliable throughout the production cycle while maintaining a keen awareness of computational demands. Position Details: This role entails a commitment of 40 hours per week, operating from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The salary ranges from $211,536 to $212,800 per year, with additional compensation options available. Basic Requirements: Master's degree in Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Economics, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, with at least one year of relevant experience; or a Bachelor's degree with five years of progressive experience. Proficient in building statistical and machine learning models using extensive datasets. Experience in writing SQL scripts for analysis and data migration. Familiarity with specialized modeling software such as R, Python, or MATLAB. Preferred Qualifications: Candidates with experience in the aforementioned areas will be highly regarded.
