Benefits: Dental insurance Health insurance Paid time off Vision insurance Position Summary: The Data Entry Technician performs data entry of new and refill prescription orders received from centers. The goal is to achieve high accuracy while maintaining acceptable production quotas as determined by experience and company policy. The technician ensures the department meets the company's standards for customer service and reimbursement for goods and services. They interact with other pharmacy departments to produce prescription labels for dispensing technicians and pharmacists on schedule, and carry out additional tasks as requested by supervisory staff. Essential Duties: Input all patient information into the computer system, checking for accuracy. Enter medication orders (new or refill) into the system. Calculate and verify correct dosages based on prescriptions. Enter and discontinue orders according to facility-specific criteria. Communicate with physicians for refill approvals when necessary. Maintain current records of patient medication order updates and changes. Understand all pharmacy dispensing systems and their implications for data entry. Monitor incoming order queues and input data promptly. Maintain knowledge of pharmacy labeling requirements. Ensure accuracy and meet productivity standards. Assist customers courteously, answer telephones, and provide excellent customer service. Report misconduct, suspicious, or unethical activities to the Compliance Officer. Represent the pharmacy professionally and courteously in all interactions. Route patient referrals appropriately. Resolve patient complaints effectively, take corrective actions, and monitor results. Follow the company's Drug-Free Workplace policy; drug screening may be conducted at hire or upon suspicion. Perform other duties as assigned. Schedule Availability: Flexible schedule including weekends, as we operate 24 hours. #J-18808-Ljbffr
