Job Description Job Title: CT Technologist II Profession: Clinical Technician Specialty: Not specified Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Nights (Sunday, Monday, Tuesday) Hours per Shift: 12 hours (7 PM - 7 AM) Experience: Minimum one year full-time experience preferred License: CT credentials required upon hire Certifications: AHA BLS Must-Have: - Graduate of a CAAHEP accredited educational program with emphasis in a primary cardiovascular specialty, or - Graduate of a JRCERT accredited educational program with emphasis in a radiologic technology specialty - Core to intermediate-level knowledge and understanding of normal and abnormal anatomy and physiology - Strong ability to work as part of a team and follow instructions - Ability to multi-task and remain calm in stressful situations Description: Under general to limited supervision, this intermediate-level position performs both clinical and non-clinical duties. The role involves delivering specialized cardiovascular and/or radiologic technology services to adult and/or pediatric patients. This aids medical staff in the diagnosis, care, treatment, and surveillance of various conditions, defects, and diseases. Maintains the competencies required to perform essential duties of a Level I position. Utilizing professional knowledge and skills, provides safe and efficient patient-centric care under routine or emergent conditions. Care settings include acute inpatient facilities, outpatient practices, diagnostic centers, and remote clinics. Prepares patients for procedures and correlates clinical history with procedures ordered by physicians. Communicates and collaborates with patients, families, and other team members to achieve clinical outcomes and operational goals. Utilizes specialized imaging equipment and techniques to perform diagnostic and surgical procedures according to established guidelines. Conducts post-procedure reviews to confirm all required study elements are completed and documented. Transfers images and data to archival systems and prepares studies for reporting by physicians. Performs quality control checks, cleaning, and high-level disinfecting per manufacturer guidelines and regulatory standards. Participates in continuing education and professional development activities to maintain competencies. Provides instruction and mentorship to less experienced team members. Prepares and presents in-service training relevant to assigned service areas. Assists with quality assurance and performance improvement tasks as needed.
