In this role, you’ll operate crematory equipment, maintain compliance with all safety and legal standards, and ensure the highest level of care is provided throughout the cremation process. Key Responsibilities: • Perform cremations in accordance with all state and federal regulations • Handle human remains with utmost dignity and respect • Complete and verify all required documentation and chain-of-custody forms • Maintain and operate crematory equipment and perform basic maintenance • Clean and prepare the crematory area and equipment between services • Assist funeral directors and staff as needed with various tasks • Communicate with families when appropriate in a compassionate and professional manner What You Need to Have: • 1–3 years of experience in funeral service or cremation preferred (training provided for the right candidate) • Oregon Crematory Operator Certification or willingness to obtain • Strong attention to detail and respect for protocol • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively • Compassion, integrity, and emotional maturity • Ability to lift up to lbs and work in both indoor and outdoor environments What’s Next?
