Description: Martha Franks Retirement Community, a ministry of South Carolina Baptist Ministries of Aging (SCBMA), is seeking a Creative Content Specialist to join our team. This is a unique opportunity to create meaningful content that highlights the vibrant lives of retirees engaged in Christian service and community living.
The Creative Content Specialist will plan, produce, and manage engaging content, including photos and videos, that communicates the mission, vision, values, and daily life of Martha Franks Retirement Community, with a goal of stimulating an interest among prospective residents to relocate to Martha Franks. From concept to completion, you’ll bring compelling stories to life across digital platforms—capturing the unique stories and spirit of retirees who continue to live with purpose through ministry and community engagement.
Requirements:
Key Responsibilities
Work in conjunction with SCBMA staff to brainstorm content ideas and produce engaging marketing and storytelling content. These include but are not limited to marketing campaigns, resident events, ministry initiatives, and community life at Martha Franks Retirement Community.
Plan, coordinate, capture, and deliver timely, imaginative, and audience-appropriate multimedia content for distribution on our website and various social media platforms.
Develop a schedule for releasing planned content.
Monitor social media accounts. Interact with followers and formulate any necessary responses to comments or inquiries (or pass them along to the appropriate staff member).
Monitor partner account activity (SBC, SCBC, Local Associations, Mission Boards, WMU, BFSC, Baptist Courier, etc.) and repost/share any relevant content.
Ensure creative consistency and quality standards across all content and platforms while innovating new approaches.
Manage multiple projects simultaneously in a deadline-driven environment
Stay current with creative trends and best practices in photography, video, and digital storytelling
Uphold and promote the Christ-centered mission and values of Martha Franks and SCBMA through all content
Some travel is required; however, a majority of the work can be performed remotely.
Qualifications
Education: High school diploma required. A degree in a related field is preferred but not required.
Experience: Previous experience in content creation, multimedia production, or a related field preferred
Skills:
Proven ability in storytelling, basic photography, and videography.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office or Google Workspace, as well as Adobe Creative Suite (or similar) for developing assets for the web and social media.
Strong knowledge of social media and digital content platforms
High attention to detail and an artistic eye for compelling and unique visual content
Excellent organization, communication, and time management skills
Comfortable working independently and collaboratively across departments
High emotional intelligence and a heart for serving in a faith-based organization
A reputation for honesty, integrity, confidentiality, and responsibility in all matters.
Tactful, considerate, and cooperative.
Possesses sound leadership skills and is results-oriented.
