Join BayMark Health Services as a Counselor Intern LCDC-I and contribute to our mission of providing comprehensive addiction treatment to those battling opioid use disorder and other substance abuse challenges. In this role, you will work under supervision to gain practical counseling experience, preparing you for full licensure. This position offers you the opportunity to make a significant impact in the lives of patients, providing them with the support needed to achieve long-term recovery. Assist in assessing patients' mental health status and develop treatment plans under supervision. Provide individual and group counseling sessions to assist patients in overcoming dependencies, adjusting to life, and making changes. Document and maintain treatment records and reports in compliance with regulatory standards. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to tailor treatment plans based on clinical observations and evaluations. Engage in continuous learning opportunities to enhance treatment modalities and patient care. Participate in case reviews and consultations with the treatment team. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information. Knowledge of counseling theories and practices.
