Position Overview Richard J. Daley College is seeking a part-time Perkins Coordinator to provide programmatic assistance, budget oversight, and technical support to stakeholders, ensuring compliance with ICCB requirements and funding objectives of the Perkins grant. The role involves coordinating efforts with faculty, staff, and external agencies to manage federal funds allocated for career and technical education programs.
Primary Responsibilities Coordinate with Deans, faculty, and administrators to develop the annual Perkins Plan, including setting objectives, identifying needs, planning expenditures, and establishing timelines.
Serve as the main liaison between the college, District Office, and ICCB, advising on grant guidelines, allowable fund use, and compliance.
Collaborate with the Business Office to develop and monitor budgets for personnel, purchasing, and other expenses related to Perkins funds.
Monitor expenditures, prepare budget modifications, and ensure alignment with grant objectives and timelines.
Organize meetings with stakeholders to review progress and funding compliance.
Prepare quarterly progress reports and assist with monitoring visits and reporting requirements.
Support grant-funded activities such as workshops and student events.
Document program activities, fund expenditures, and outcomes, ensuring compliance with reporting standards.
Manage procurement processes, vendor research, and inventory of equipment purchased with grant funds.
Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Business, Public Administration, Education, Public Policy, or a related field from an accredited institution.
3-5 years of experience in administrative or program management roles, preferably in higher education or non-profit sectors.
Strong collaboration skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
