Volt is immediately hiring for Composite Repair Technicians in Tallassee, Alabama
As a Repair Technician, you will:
Require experience in Carbon Fiber Composite Repair Work with materials like carbon fiber, fiberglass to create lightweight components Reading Blueprints and specifications to meet quality and safety standards Using hands on tools and techniques for cutting, shaping, bonding, and curing Identify and execute structural repairs on composite components including aircraft parts Cutting, shaping, preparing materials for repair or fabrication Applying adhesives and resins - using techniques such as vacuum bagging and autoclave curing to bond and cure composite materials Work flexible shifts up to 12 hours
This is a 60 days contract assignment
Will pay for travel to Tallassee, Alabama, hotel accommodations for assignment duration, and a daily per diem.
The ideal candidate will have:
Manual Dexterity: Ability to use hand tools and operate machinery for cutting, shaping, and assembling composite parts. Problem-Solving: Identifying and resolving issues that arise during the repair or fabrication process. Attention to Detail: Ensuring accuracy and precision in all aspects of the work. Mechanical Aptitude: Understanding the machines and tools used in composite manufacturing and repair. Safety Awareness: Adhering to safety protocols and using appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE). Blueprint Reading: Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications. Experience: Previous experience in composite repair or fabrication is required Work is performed in an manufacturing environment. The job will be performed standing and/or squatting. Requires ability to reach overhead, pull, push, and climb a ladder to perform work.
Payrate: $20.00  per hour
*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
