Our client, a prestigious Amlaw 50 firm, is seeking a talented Managing Associate Attorney to join their cutting-edge Litigation Business team. Available in multiple locations, this role offers the opportunity to work on high-stakes commercial, product liability, mass tort, and energy-related disputes in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.
Candidate Profile:
- JD from a top-tier law school with a strong academic record.
- Active Bar Admission in the relevant jurisdiction (CA, DC, IL, MA, NY, OR, TX, WA, WV).
- 4-6 years of substantive litigation experience in complex commercial litigation, mass tort, product liability, and/or energy-related matters.
- Strong legal research, analytical, and writing skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple aspects of case strategy and execution.
- Experience handling depositions, drafting dispositive motions, and managing discovery.
- Courtroom experience and a demonstrated interest in taking on increased responsibility.
- A team-oriented, proactive, and entrepreneurial approach to litigation practice.
Key Responsibilities:
- Represent clients in a wide range of complex litigation matters across industries, including energy (renewable and conventional), tech, pharmaceuticals, and more.
- Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, motions, and briefs, and develop litigation strategy.
- Participate in all aspects of discovery, including depositions, interrogatories, and document review/production.
- Manage client relationships and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Make court appearances at hearings, participate in mediations, and support trial preparation and strategy.
- Collaborate across offices with a national team of highly regarded litigators and contribute to mentorship and firm development efforts.
