We are looking for a Commercial Director, East Region in USA. Your mission will be to:
Responsible for planning, developing, and implementing commercial strategies based on company goals and objectives with the main goal to support and accelerate profitable growth, providing direction to direct sales reports, customer care and other team members, and working directly with Business Unit leaders and EVP of Commercial to execute plans designed to increase revenue and margin through client development of new offerings.
Develop, plan, and implement commercial plans and strategies including influencing the needs of Commercial, Technical, Quality and Operational teams.

Alignment with operations to ensure consistent and predictable delivery
Perform market research and analyze threats and opportunities.
Implement new customer acquisition strategies.
Collaborate with, coordinate, and train diverse teams such as marketing, sales, and customer care.
Establish and manage long-term relationships with stakeholders.
Communicate regularly with Business Leadership for the company regarding future needs to ensure profitable growth.
Work with leadership, department executives and business unit directors to set goals for revenue and new business that align with company objectives and provide leadership to team members with the goal of obtaining established objectives.
Help identify and implement specific marketing and sales strategies and launch plans to maximize acceptance of new products and services specific to the market.
This role includes, but is not limited to, working with Product Marketing and Product Management to design the enhanced business plan and business offering to better grow and support the company.
Initiate a regional plan with market specific sales team members (TSM's, TAM's and / or TSC's) to generate new business and client development.
Manage and develop the performance of assigned team members.
Direct sales personnel in establishing performance expectations, ensuring performance accountability, providing development opportunities, and communicating achievements through routine use of sales tools and processes, including but not limited to: CRM (current or future platform), Jot forms, Showpad, call plans, etc.
Conduct analyses and provide assigned team members direction in the negotiation of price increases that support Company objectives.
Provide liaison between business units and assigned team members, creating a culture that encourages cooperation in support of corporate objectives.
Promote the company image and culture in all interactions with employees, clients, vendors, industry personnel, professional associations, and the public at large.
Support corporate quality and improvement processes for the company.
Perform other related duties as needed.
YOUR PROFILE
A thorough knowledge of science and industry insight is needed to be successful in this position.
Ten (10) plus years relevant work experience required. Previous related business development and sales experience would be an asset. A thorough knowledge of company procedures is essential to identify marketing opportunities and assure accurate client service. This position requires a familiarity with methods and current industry testing procedures for microbiology and chemistry. A broad knowledge of technical sales techniques, selling processes and customer service experience is required to increase new business and improve existing customer relations.
Required skills:
The incumbent uses previous experience, corporate mission and philosophy, strategic/operational plans and objectives, and peers as resources to provide necessary information to solve a problem. Customer problems are often unique and require the incumbent to select among several different alternatives to meet or exceed requirements and address concerns. The incumbent ensures that business operations are positively impacting customer satisfaction and profitability. Strong business skills are needed to proactively address business concerns and identify opportunities as they arise. Well-developed interpersonal skills are required to build and maintain relationships with clients and other personnel within the company. This position requires assistance to sales in making decisions regarding pricing, value added service opportunities and account management for their region. Decisions are made based on feedback from management and knowledge of account bases; implementing and designing plans that reflect the goals of the company.
Management:
The incumbent receives general guidance from the EVP of Commercial regarding corporate strategy, which includes goals, objectives, and initiatives. The incumbent proceeds with activities with occasional prioritizing and coaching by the same. The incumbent provides guidance to personnel within their commercial team, or assigned functional areas, including Senior Technical Sales Managers, Technical Sales Managers, Technical Account Managers and Technical Sales Coordinators (depending on the region). Supervision includes hiring, terminating, development, correcting performance, and communicating priorities. The incumbent is responsible for generating support to the commercial force to achieve identified strategic goals and initiatives. Position is cross functional and leverages matrix management approach.
Work Environment :
The incumbent may work remotely and/or from a corporate office with frequent visits to various manufacturing settings with proper lighting and temperature control. Occasional exposure to laboratory fumes, chemicals, and materials will occur. Air travel and frequent overnight stays are necessary for customer visits and industry association trade shows. Travel can be anywhere from 20- 40%.

Compensation Range:
$130,000 - $150,000 USD
Potential bonus: Up to 20% based on performance.
