Commercial Client Manager - Commercial Real Estate (CRE)

- Responsible for expanding, managing, and optimizing a loan portfolio of commercial clients.
- Maintain thorough understanding of Commercial Real Estate Lending Policy.
- Apply the Commercial Real Estate Lending Policy to new opportunities and existing customers, including the identification of policy exceptions and justification for such exceptions.
- Maintain working knowledge of all Commercial Real Estate Lending customers and provide excellent customer service.
- Work collaboratively with RM, PMs, Credit partners and Third-Party Professionals.
- Participate in the documentation of loan transactions.
- Coordinate the completion of credit applications and credit administration.
- Present credit requests to senior management and/or the company's Loan Committee for review and approval.
- Structure and analyze new and renewed loan requests and make loans within lending authority.
- Handle customer service matters and inquiries for lending and non-lending issues.
- Assign appropriate risk grades to loans and relationships.
- Focus on new deposit & treasury management opportunities as they present themselves.
Education/Experience Preferred:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Economics, Mathematics or Statistics with a minimum of 12 semester hours of Accounting.
- Formal credit training such as RMA or Regional or State Banking School is preferred.
- Advanced credit underwriting knowledge in like size institution.
- Previous account relationship management experience is preferred.
- Must possess the ability to work collaboratively with the PMs to ensure that Pre-Flights, CAPs and any other documentation prepared by the PM fits with Commercial Real Estate lending standards for collateral, structure, documentation and ongoing monitoring and account management discipline.
- Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Must possess ability to multi-task and specifically, the ability to work on several prospect and customer opportunities simultaneously.
- Travel up to 25% of the time. Travel to include client meetings, meetings with Commercial Real Estate Lending personnel, meeting members of Sunflower Bank's credit function, C&I RMs and other internal colleagues, and meetings with third-party professionals.
Pay is dependent on knowledge, skills, abilities, experience, and location.
