ABOUT THE POSITION: We're looking for a skilled and motivated Late-Stage Collections Specialist to join our team. In this role, you'll leverage your strong communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills to resolve delinquent accounts and help our customers get back on track. You'll be a key player in minimizing losses while delivering a respectful, solutions-focused experience.

Key Responsibilities:

* Make outbound and receive inbound calls (manually and via auto-dialer) to engage customers with delinquent accounts. * Educate customers on payment options and assist them in avoiding vehicle repossession. * Negotiate payment arrangements that are both compliant and realistic for customers, while reducing objections and delays. * Prioritize accounts based on risk level and potential recovery, ensuring efficient time management. * Conduct skip-tracing using approved tools and techniques to locate customer or vehicle information. * Ensure all interactions comply with company policies, the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA), and other relevant regulations. * Collaborate with team members in a high-volume, performance-driven environment.

What You Bring:

* Prior experience in collections or skip tracing (preferred). High-risk and/or secured lending experience is a plus. * Proven ability to meet and exceed individual and team performance goals. * Comfortable working with high call volumes and calls monitored for compliance. * Familiarity with FDCPA and other relevant debt collection laws and guidelines. * Experience using dialer systems and CRM tools. * Tech-savvy: proficient with PCs, internet-based tools, and standard office software. * Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends. * A resilient and team-oriented mindset-able to adapt and stay motivated in a fast-paced environment.

Position Details:

* Hybrid (two days in office at Van Nuys headquarters). Casual attire. * Periodic overtime, usually at month-end * Day shift (start time between 7 a.m. and 9 a.m.- to be established at time of offer) * Monthly performance-based progressive increase structure. Typical monthly earnings average in low four figures.
