CNC Engineering Programmer

We are seeking an Engineering Programmer to support CNC programming and manufacturing documentation within our Engineering Department. This role plays a critical part in ensuring precise, cost-effective production and reliable manufacturing processes in a dynamic job shop environment.
Key Responsibilities
Program CNC equipment (Tanaka lasers, Kinetic burn tables) using Sigmanest . Develop internal bills of material (BOMs) and manufacturing process documentation. Create and maintain detailed drawings and revision-controlled documentation. Generate material take-offs and run times to support estimating and job costing. Collaborate with engineers, estimators, suppliers, and shop personnel to support design changes, improve productivity, and reduce operating costs. Provide technical support for CNC operators and assist with troubleshooting programming issues on the shop floor. Maintain accurate records of programs, tooling, drawings, and process changes. Evaluate variances between estimated and actual production operations and coordinate with Estimating and Engineering to resolve discrepancies. Support ISO 9001 quality initiatives and documentation standards. Contribute to process improvement initiatives and special projects as assigned. Required Skills and Experience
Education & Experience: Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Programming, or related technical field preferred. Equivalent experience will be considered. Minimum of 3 years programming experience in a manufacturing or job shop environment. Technical Competencies: Proficient in Sigmanest , and SolidWorks (2019 or newer). Familiarity with ISO 9001 and job shop production processes. Strong blueprint reading skills; GD&T knowledge a plus. Skilled in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and Adobe products. Soft Skills: Excellent organization, communication, and problem-solving abilities. Able to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
