Description SAIC is seeking a CNC/ Welder for our site in Hanahan, SC. JOB DESCRIPTION: Will primarily be tasked with performing moderate to complex vehicle integration task to include some metal work, welding, and reviewing customer drawings. Provide assistance to related support areas not limiting to kitting, logistics, and quality. The ability to read and understand metal fabrication drawings and perform additive and subtractive manufacturing functions. Support engineering activities such as test and fabrication. Work Safely in a Machine Shop environment. Communicate with leadership, team members, and the customer. Qualifications Required Education and Experience: Highschool and two (2) year related experience. Required Experience: Must be able to safely complete all the physical demands of the job in a manufacturing environment, including but not limited to the following: Experience operating a welding and operating CNC machines. Lifting, pulling, pushing, and carrying up to 50 pounds, on a regular basis. Walking, bending, stooping, sitting, or squatting for extended periods. A familiarity with machine shop equipment, quality tools, or hand tools needed for metal work. Familiar with the use and operation of power tools is necessary. Able to obtain a Forklift License. Attention to detail and ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately. Required Clearance: US Citizen with the ability to obtain a Public Trust Clearance. Active DOD clearance accepted.
