Our Vascular Surgery Units cater to patients with complex vascular conditions and other surgical needs, often requiring telemetry monitoring. We care for a diverse patient population aged 18 to 90+, primarily focusing on those aged 45-65, who may present with acute or chronic illnesses and multiple co-morbidities. Your compassion and expertise will help shape a nurturing environment for our patients and their families. As a Clinical Nurse, you will play a crucial role in supporting our mission through your skilled nursing care and teamwork. Key Responsibilities: Implement physician orders, administer medications, and perform treatments and procedures while ensuring compliance with company policies and regulations. Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to assess patients' conditions accurately. Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations of patient needs in relation to care received. Utilize sound clinical judgment in managing patient care decisions effectively. Provide primary and emergency care for occupational and non-occupational injuries and illnesses. Administer medications (both over-the-counter and prescription) as prescribed. Collaborate with the nursing team to develop comprehensive plans of care for all patients. Guide and support ancillary personnel while maintaining professional nursing standards. Minimum Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited nursing program with a Diploma, Associate Degree, or Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing. Current NYS Registered Nurse license is required. Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) is necessary. 1-3 years of clinical RN experience in Med-Surg or Progressive Care settings is preferred. Strong communication, prioritization, organizational, and time-management skills are essential. Familiarity with quality concepts, principles, and problem-solving techniques, along with the ability to apply them for departmental and patient care improvement.
