Department/Unit: Operating Room Work Shift: Evening (United States of America) Salary Range: $76,396.32 - $126,730.61 The Registered Professional Nurse plays a vital role in ensuring the comfort and safety of surgical patients throughout their care journey. With a focus on advocacy during procedures and seamless transitions within the acute care setting, the surgical nurse expertly coordinates and manages care, guaranteeing a compassionate experience for all patients. Key Responsibilities: Implement physician orders and administer medications in the sterile field, ensuring compliance with all organizational and regulatory policies. Evaluate patient needs and responses to care, making informed nursing judgments to optimize patient outcomes. Supervise and support ancillary personnel, upholding high standards of professional nursing practice. Act as a dedicated patient advocate within the surgical environment. Minimum Qualifications: Graduation from an accredited nursing program (Diploma, Associate Degree, or Baccalaureate Degree preferred). Current NYS Registered Nurse license. Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS); CNOR certification is preferred. A minimum of 1-3 years of clinical RN experience, preferably in a surgical setting. Knowledge of quality improvement concepts and problem-solving techniques relevant to patient care.
