Department/Unit: Short Stay Surgical Work Shift: Day (United States of America) Salary Range: $72,072.00 - $74,229.26 The Clinical Nurse plays a vital role in creating a compassionate and supportive environment for patients, families, and colleagues through kindness and active listening. Job Responsibilities: Implement physician orders and administer medications, initiate IVs, perform treatments, procedures, and document care in accordance with company policy and relevant regulations. Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to assess and diagnose patient conditions. Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations of patient needs and responses to care provided. Exercise sound nursing judgment in making patient care management decisions. Provide primary and emergency care for both occupational and non-occupational injuries and illnesses. Administer prescription and over-the-counter medications as required. Collaborate with the nursing team to develop comprehensive Plans of Care for all patients. Guide and supervise ancillary staff while maintaining high standards of professional nursing practice. Minimum Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited professional nursing program with a Diploma, Associate Degree, or Baccalaureate Degree. Current Registered Nurse license in NYS. Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) is required. 1-3 years of clinical RN experience in Med-Surg or Progressive Care is preferred. Strong communication, prioritization, organizational, and time-management skills. Understanding of quality concepts and principles with the ability to apply problem-solving techniques in support of departmental and patient care improvements.
