Join our dedicated team in the Emergency Department, where we provide exceptional care as a Level I Trauma Center. We are looking for a compassionate and skilled Clinical Nurse II to support our patients around the clock, working 36 hours per week on the night shift. As a Registered Professional Nurse, you will play a vital role in assessing, coordinating, and delivering high-quality patient care throughout their stay. You will manage the needs of assigned patients with a focus on their progress toward discharge, while collaborating with a team of caregivers to ensure superior patient outcomes. Key Features of the Opportunity: Work in a dynamic environment with 45 rooms, including specialized zones for critical care, pediatrics, and minor care. Utilize state-of-the-art facilities, including a dedicated radiology suite and decontamination area. Engage with a diverse patient population, providing care for all ages and conditions 24/7. Core Responsibilities: You will be responsible for: Implementing physician orders and administering medications and treatments, while ensuring accurate documentation. Assessing patient conditions and determining appropriate care plans. Providing primary and emergency care for various injuries and illnesses. Collaborating with nursing staff to improve care delivery and patient satisfaction. Directing ancillary personnel and maintaining nursing standards. Minimum Qualifications: Graduate from an accredited nursing program with a Diploma, Associate Degree, or Baccalaureate Degree. Current NYS Registered Nurse license. Certification in BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC. 1-3 years of clinical nursing experience in an Emergency Department, preferably within a large academic, Level 1 Trauma Center. Willingness to pursue continuing education for professional growth. Knowledge of quality improvement principles and an ability to apply them in a clinical setting.
