Join our dedicated Float Pool team as a Clinical Nurse I, providing essential care within the ED Observation unit on Nights (36 hours/week). Role Overview: Implement physician orders with precision, administering medications, starting IVs, and performing necessary treatments while diligently documenting all procedures as per company policy and regulatory standards. Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to identify and assess patients’ conditions effectively. Continuously assess and evaluate patient needs, responding with individualized care. Utilize sound nursing judgment for optimal patient care management decisions. Provide primary and emergency care for various injuries and illnesses. Administer medications, both over-the-counter and prescription, as directed. Collaborate with the nursing team to develop comprehensive Plans of Care for all patients. Guide and direct ancillary personnel while upholding the highest standards of professional nursing practice. Minimum Qualifications: Graduated from a recognized nursing program with a Diploma, Associate Degree, or Baccalaureate Degree. Current New York State Registered Nurse license is required. Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) is essential. 1-3 years of relevant clinical RN experience in Med-Surg or Progressive Care is preferred. Demonstrated excellence in communication, prioritization, organizational, and time-management skills. Knowledge of quality concepts and the ability to support patient care quality improvement efforts.
