Job Responsibilities: Implement physician orders, administer medications, start IVs, perform treatments and special tests, and document care in compliance with company and regulatory standards. Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests to assess and identify patient conditions. Assess patient needs and responses to the care provided. Utilize sound nursing judgment in managing patient care decisions. Deliver primary and emergency care for both occupational and non-occupational concerns. Administer prescribed medications and over-the-counter drugs as needed. Collaborate with the nursing team to develop comprehensive Plans of Care for all patients. Guide and oversee ancillary personnel while maintaining professional nursing standards. Minimum Qualifications: Graduate from a professional nursing program resulting in a Diploma, Associate Degree, or Baccalaureate Degree. Current NYS Registered Nurse license required. Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) must be obtained and maintained. 1-3 years of clinical experience in Med-Surg or Progressive Care is essential. Strong communication, prioritization, organizational, and time-management skills are a must. Knowledge of quality improvement concepts and problem-solving techniques, with the ability to apply them effectively in patient care settings.
