Cleaning Services Assistant Manager The Cleaning Services Assistant Manager manages day-to-day cleaning operations by directing Coordinators, overseeing schedules, inspections, and ensuring operational continuity. This role bridges leadership strategy with event execution. Supervisory responsibilities include directly supervising Cleaning Services Coordinators, providing day-to-day leadership, oversight, and direction to ensure all cleaning operations align with department standards, event requirements, and organizational expectations. The role also involves translating departmental standards, policies, and service expectations into clear daily direction, reviewing and approving event deployment plans, providing ongoing coaching, training, and performance feedback, participating in hiring, onboarding, and training efforts, and serving as the primary escalation point for Cleaning Services Coordinators. Essential duties and responsibilities include assisting the Cleaning Services Manager in developing and executing comprehensive cleaning plans, supporting the development and implementation of standard cleaning procedures, assisting with determining appropriate staffing levels, performing routine inspections of assigned areas, maintaining positive working relationships with third-party vendors, assisting with safety inspections, working collaboratively with the Cleaning Services Manager to procure housekeeping and janitorial supplies, tracking inventory levels and maintenance activities, and performing additional duties as assigned. Qualifications and skills include proficiency with general office PC applications, safety training and familiarity with Safety Program management, effective communication skills, the ability to work flexible hours, and the ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Minimum education and experience include a high school diploma or GED certificate and a minimum of five years of experience in a similar facility setting. Other qualifications include the ability to work with a diverse workforce, being friendly and courteous, maintaining a professional appearance and grooming, and being able to stand for long periods of time, walk long distances, and climb stairs. The physical demands of the job include standing for long periods of time, walking long distances, climbing up/down stairs, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or sitting, and occasionally lifting and/or moving up to 50 pounds.
