Description
Star Lumber is a trusted provider of lumber and building materials, serving contractors, builders, and homeowners with quality products and exceptional service. We are looking for a Class A CDL Truss Delivery Driver to join our team. This position specializes in the transport and delivery of oversized and wide loads, utilizing a roll-off trailer to ensure safe and efficient deliveries to job sites.
This is not an over the road driving position. Be Home Every Night!
Daily Responsibilities:
•Safely transport trusses and other building materials using a commercial vehicle with a roll-off trailer.
•Manage oversized and wide loads, ensuring proper securement and compliance with DOT regulations.
•Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle.
•Accurate logging of delivery stops and DOT time tracking.
•Follow all DOT regulations, traffic laws, and company safety policies while on the road and at job sites.
•Maintain a clean and organized vehicle, performing routine maintenance checks and reporting any issues to the maintenance team.
•Collaborate with warehouse and dispatch personnel to coordinate delivery orders efficiently.
Requirements
•Valid Class A CDL with a clean driving record and qualified to drive a commercial motor vehicle in accordance with FMSCR requirements.
•Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Class A CDL driver, preferably with oversized or wide-load deliveries.
•Experience operating roll-off trailers and securing oversized loads.
•Holds a Cat 1 interstate license.
•Knowledge of DOT regulations and proper load securement techniques.
•Strong attention to detail and accuracy in completing paperwork.
•Physical ability to lift and carry materials as needed.
