Class A CDL HAZMAT Truck Driver - Emergency Response Specialist

Hepaco, a Clean Harbors company, is actively seeking a Class A CDL Driver to join our team. As a driver, you will operate a range of heavy and light-duty trucks and equipment at various customer sites, including vacuum trucks, guzzlers, and roll-off trucks. This role involves not just driving but also performing essential duties associated with hazardous waste clean-up.

Please Note: All new hires must attend a two-week training academy; travel expenses are covered by the company and per diem is provided.

Key Responsibilities:
Prioritize health and safety by adhering to safe work practices, policies, and procedures.
Operate various commercial trucks and assist field laborers as needed in a collaborative atmosphere.
Perform loading and unloading of trucks, as well as manual labor on-site to meet customer demands.
Ensure proper placarding of vehicles in compliance with company and DOT regulations.
Maintain accurate daily logs, time sheets, and reports.
Follow all local, state, and federal compliance regulations.
Safely operate vehicles in accordance with U.S. DOT and other regulations.
Observe all company environmental and safety operating guidelines.
Participate in on-call emergency response on a rotating basis as required.
Engage in site remediation, equipment decontamination, and handling of hazardous materials.
Qualifications:
Valid Class A CDL.
Ability to operate a manual transmission.
Willingness to obtain Hazmat and Tanker endorsements within 90 days of employment.
Capability to use various mobile devices effectively.
Physical fitness to perform required job functions.
Must pass a background check, drug test, and physical examination, as required.
Must comply with OSHA's Respiratory Protection Standard regarding facial hair standards.
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous commercial driving experience.
Possession of Hazmat and Tanker endorsements.
Experience handling hazardous materials.
Prior manual labor experience.
