Civil Litigation Paralegal

Our client, a leading litigation law firm with offices throughout the Northeast, has an immediate need for an experienced Civil Litigation Paralegal, to join our winning team in New York City.
Our candidate of choice will be responsible for organizing and reviewing case files, ensuring everything is in place for attorneys to hit the ground running. You'll draft and prepare pleadings, manage discovery requests, and coordinate subpoenas along with working closely with attorneys to summarize depositions, analyze documents, and keep cases on track with deadlines. This is a hybrid role!
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/REQUIREMENTS:
Review, draft, proofread, organize, and assemble written discovery demands and responses, discovery document productions, motions, and various motion exhibits. Review and summarize deposition transcripts. Create and update case management spreadsheets to track medical records, discovery requests and responses. Draft, organize, assemble, serve, and follow up on requests for medical records. Process medical record authorizations, including drafting, organizing, monitoring, and following up on requests for medical records. Compile medical records, photographs, and other fact investigative materials to be analyzed and/or produced in discovery. Review and summarize medical records. Utilize electronic court filing (ECF) systems on state and federal court levels (NYSCEF, CM/ECF, PACER, etc.), including both e-filing documents and retrieving copies of court filings. Prepare and serve legal documents, including subpoenas, discovery requests, motions. Communicate with clients, vendors, witnesses, opposing counsel, local counsel and counsel for co-defendants. Accurately record and maintain billable hours. Perform administrative tasks such as editing billing statements, answering telephones and maintaining files.
