What You'll Do
- Design and prepare plans, specs, and cost estimates for roads, bridges, parking lots, trails, utility systems, stormwater facilities, and more.
- Conduct site layouts, grading plans, cross-sections, and topographic mapping.
- Assist with permitting through local, state, and federal agencies.
- Evaluate water resource projects for flood control, erosion mitigation, and drainage.
- Inspect construction sites for compliance with plans and permits.
- Manage multiple projects and assist with overseeing team members.
What You'll Need
- Must be 18 years of age or older at the time of hire.
- Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field; 4 - 6 years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Valid Driver's License in good standing.
- Registered Professional Engineer in the state of Illinois, or the ability to obtain licensure within one 1 year.
Medical clearance to wear a respirator. - Understanding of federal, state, and local regulatory requirements relevant to design and construction projects.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including word processing and spreadsheet applications, AutoCAD Civil 3D for designing and drafting civil engineering plans.
- Well-versed in various modeling programs such as HEC-1, TR-20, HEC-RAS, Hydraflow, HY-8, etc., for water flow and stormwater management analysis.
- Capable of prioritizing and managing multiple tasks and projects to meet deadlines and objectives.
- Demonstrated success in establishing and maintaining productive working relationships.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and in writing.
- Strong organizational skills to maintain accurate records and data.
Schedule, Pay, & Benefits
- Monday-Friday | Full-time
- Starting salary: $88,774 - $99,965 per year.

Work Setting
Based out of the headquarters facility in Wheaton, IL, with travel to forest preserve project sites throughout DuPage County.
