About the Role
The Company is in search of a Chief Information Officer to oversee and direct its information technology function. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the technical aspects of third-party implementations, ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within scope, and with high-quality results. This role involves contractual arrangements and ongoing vendor management to guarantee quality technology services for both internal and external customers. The CIO will also work with the IT Director to develop and secure the IT budget, ensure that the IT strategic plan aligns with company-wide goals, and stay abreast of IT trends and emerging technologies.
Applicants for the Chief Information Officer position at the company should have a Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field and a minimum of 10 years' experience in the financial services industry, with at least 5 years in IT management. Professional certifications such as CISSP and CISA are required. The role demands a leader with strong mentoring, communication, and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to drive organizational change and optimize operational efficiency. The CIO will be expected to be a strategic thinker, a big-picture problem solver, and to have the ability to improvise and provide workarounds when necessary. Responsibilities also include overseeing disaster recovery operations, maintaining IT policies and best practices, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
