Roles and Responsibilities :
Develop and execute financial strategies supporting the hospital's mission, employees, and long-term sustainability in collaboration with senior leadership.
Manage the hospital's budget, financial planning, reporting, and forecasting processes.
Monitor, analyze, and recommend the hospital's financial performance globally, departmentally, and at a service-line level, identifying opportunities for revenue enhancement and cost optimization.
Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements related to the hospital's fiscal policies, financial reporting, and revenue capture.
Provide collaborative leadership and guidance with the management team and reporting managers that foster a culture of collaboration, transparency, accountability, continuous improvement, and respect.
Collaborate as a trusted partner within the Senior Leadership Team to drive strategic initiatives and capital planning efforts.
Work in partnership with various stakeholders, including auditors, regulators, financial institutions, State and Federal associations, and other related entities.
Participate in various Board meetings, committees, and stakeholder groups to present financial information, analyses, and recommendations, such as informing, educating, and gaining support and understanding.
Required Skills and Experience :
Minimum bachelor's degree in finance and / or accounting.
Minimum of seven (7) years of progressive financial leadership experience in a hospital setting with 5+ years in an executive (Vice President / CFO)position preferably within a critical access hospital.
A Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Healthcare Financial Professional (CHFP) designation and / or an MBA or MSF are preferable.
Comprehensive knowledge of healthcare finance, cost-based reimbursement, payor contracting, negotiations and relations, and overall fiscal policy.
Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Familiarity with critical access hospital designation and related financial and operational environments.
Strong computer systems and applications knowledge
Ability to successfully work with and communicate at all levels of the organization.
Compensation : Annual base salary range of $160,000 to $240,000 / yr.
