Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA)

The Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant at Mantey Heights will work closely with our patients and Occupational Therapists to provide rehabilitative care and improve quality of life. This is a full-time or part-time role in Grand Junction , Colorado that offers a competitive salary of $27 per hour to $38 per hour per hour and a comprehensive benefits package. As a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant, you will play a vital role in helping our patients achieve their goals and regain their physical strength and mobility.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist Occupational Therapists in providing rehabilitative services to patients under their care. Help patients with exercises and activities to improve strength, balance, and mobility.
• Observe and document patients‘ progress and report to the Occupational Therapist.
• Instruct patients and family members on proper techniques for exercises and equipment use.
• Communicate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
• Maintain clean and organized treatment areas.
• Adhere to all healthcare and safety standards.
• Participate in regular training and educational opportunities to enhance job knowledge and skills.

Qualifications

• Associate‘s degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
• State licensure as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Occupational Therapy Assistant.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Knowledge of physical therapy techniques, principles, and practices.
• Physical stamina to assist patients with mobility and perform repetitive tasks.
• Ability to lift and move equipment and assist patients with physical activities.
